Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze building structures under the supervision of a project manager
• Provide technical advice to clients, PSDC team members and construction professionals regarding design, construction, or program modifications or structural repairs
• Assist in drawing and preparing construction documents in either a Design/Build or Plan/Spec format
• Inspect project sites to evaluate existing building structures, to monitor progress and to ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards
• Conduct special inspection site visits and prepare technical reports on inspected items
• Attend meetings with clients to provide technical recommendations
• Use computer aided design software and project management software to complete projects and tasks
• Supervise Civil Engineers

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fields
• 12 months of work experience in Structural Engineer or Structural Designer in the AEC industry
• Understand building design as a whole
• Proficient in ETABS, Bentley suite, Autodeck AutoCAD and Revit software
• Telecommuting is allowed within the US. Work hours are honored based on Eastern Standard Time regardless of where the employee is telecommuting from
• Minimal travel no more than once a month for the local northeast sector of the US, in order to review building assessments
